Music Ministries

Welcome to Music Ministries at First Moravian Church!

Moravians enjoy a rich musical heritage. For hundreds of years, we have proclaimed our faith in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ through hymns, horns, choral compositions, and campfire songs alike. Whether you like to sing, ring, are an experienced instrumentalist or a beginning band member, there is a musical group at First Moravian for you.

Chancel Choir (Adult)

The Chancel Choir at First Moravian is an SATB choral ensemble and performs sacred choral music. This group has been an important part of FMC since the congregation's beginnings in east Greensboro. The ensemble sings from a wide repertoire of traditional Moravian music spanning the Baroque and Classical artistic periods; sacred music from other Prostestant and Catholic traditions, including spirituals; and more contemporary sacred music.

The Adult/Chancel Choir sings for most Sunday services, as well as special seasonal events and services. Their practice schedule is Wednesday evenings from 7:30–8:30pm. There is an open invitation for Choir membership.
